JOSPT's Editorial Focus

Scholarly, peer reviewed, and increasingly international in scope and reach, the Journal Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy features the latest evidence-based research and clinical cases in musculoskeletal science and rehabilitation, including physical therapy, orthopaedics, sports medicine, and biomechanics. Now in its 29th year, the Journal strives to offer high-quality research, immediately applicable clinical material, and useful supplemental information in a variety of formats.  The JOSPT is the official journal of its publishers, the Orthopaedic Section and the Sports Physical Therapy Section of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Through the print and electronic Journal, the publishers seek to advance musculoskeletal science and rehabilitation research and practice and to educate and support the profession. To these ends, the Journal’s website delivers searchable abstracts from 1994 to date, as well as full-text access to articles published in the Journal from January 1994 to the present.  In addition, abstracts and articles from past years are continuously being added to this database.

The JOSPT is currently indexed in the following services in print and/or electronic format:

    • Index Medicus (Medline)
    • ISI’s Current Contents/Clinical Medicine, SciSearch, Science Citation Index, ISI Alerting Services, and Focus On: Sports Science & Medicine
    • Research Alert
    • Excerpta Medica (Embase)
    • Cumulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health Literature (CINAHL)
    • Physical Education Index
