Single JOSPT Articles & Issues

     Now in its 29th year of publishing, the Journal of Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy is the number-one-rated member benefit of the American Physical Therapy Association’s Sports Physical Therapy and Orthopaedic Sections. In addition to this dedicated readership of clinicians, researchers, practitioners, and academicians in the field of musculoskeletal health and rehabilitation, the Journal enjoys a growing national and international subscriber base outside the APTA.

     The JOSPT is now recognized as an official journal of the following international institutions:

• Orthopaedic Division and Sport Physiotherapy Canada (SPC) of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
• The International Federation of Sports Physiotherapy (IFSP), headquartered in the Netherlands
• The Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine (CPSM), a clinical interest group of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP)
• Sports Physiotherapy Australia (SPA), a national special group of the Australian Physiotherapy Association
• Swiss Sports Physiotherapy Association (SSPA)

The JOSPT is currently negotiating alliances with other professional organizations, including groups in Brazil, Japan, and New Zealand. 

     The print edition of the Journal reaches more than 22,500 individuals and institutions in the United States and 55 countries around the world. The Journal’s website, www.jospt.org, receives more than 15,500 unique visitors each month.

JOSPT Subscription Rates

     The Journal of Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy has subscription rates for institutions, individuals and students, both in the United States and in other countries. A subscription includes:

• 12 issues of the JOSPT, beginning the month following the date your order is placed.
• Online access at www.jospt.org to searchable abstracts and full text of articles published in the Journal from 1994 to date. Abstracts and full text from earlier years will be added continuously until the collection is complete by the end of 2009.

* Includes online access for Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, including ranges, which are managed through "My JOSPT". Please see the For Institutions section of this website for more information.

** Must include an individual name; not for institutions; online access is username/password supplied by the user and managed through "My JOSPT".

*** Fax proof of student status to JOSPT at 703-836-2210.

Subscribe Online, by FAX, Phone or Mail 

• Online: You may subscribe to the Journal online using our secure system and a credit card - MasterCard, Visa, or American Express. You will receive an emailed receipt and have immediate access to JOSPT content.

• FAX: You may download, complete, and fax the JOSPT subscription form with your payment information to 703-836-2210. Processing will take 1-2 weeks.

• Phone: You may call us toll-free at 1-877-766-3450 and provide your information to a Journal representative. Processing will take 1-2 weeks.

• Mail: You may download, complete, and mail the JOSPT subscription form with your credit card or check made payable in US funds to JOSPT, 1111 North Fairfax St, Ste 100, Alexandria, VA 22314-1436. Once the Journal office receives your order, processing will take 1-2 weeks.

     Please note that all subscriptions are processed on a monthly basis as they are received. If your subscription is on a calendar year, please renew promptly. We cannot guarantee to supply back issues on belated renewals. Multiple-year subscriptions are available at the current rates for up to 3 years. Pricing includes normal shipping. Airmail delivery is an additional charge. Advance payment in U.S. dollars is required. Once ordered, a subscription may be cancelled but cannot be refunded.

Change of Address

     Be sure to notify the JOSPT when your address changes to continue to receive your issues of the Journal. The U.S. Postal Service destroys publications that do not have correct mailing addresses. We are not able to replace issues for those subscribers who fail to notify us of address changes.

     If available, replacement issues cost $25 in the United States and $35 elsewhere. Section members pay $20 for replacement copies.

• If you are an APTA Orthopaedic and/or Sports Section member, please change your address by contacting the APTA Membership Department. You can call the department by dialing APTA’s toll-free number, 1-800-999-2782, and asking for Membership at extension 3124, or by dialing 703-684-7534 directly. You can also email your new information to membership@apta.org. 

Missing Issues

     If you miss an issue of the Journal or it arrives damaged in the mail, you are entitled to a 1-time replacement of your copy. If you use a subscription agency, please contact that organization to place a claim for you.

     Please contact the Copyright Clearance Center to request permission to reproduce/reprint material published in the JOSPT.

Single JOSPT Articles & Issues

     Individual articles and single issues are available for purchase.     

• Single articles may be ordered for $10 each. 

• When available, single copies of issues of the JOSPT cost for $25 each for destinations in the United States and $35 elsewhere. Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy Section members and JOSPT subscribers may obtain single copies for $20 each in the United States and $30 elsewhere. If you are located outside the United States, we will send your issue order via airmail. Postage is included in all pricing.

     Order articles and issues in one of the following ways:

• Online: You may order an article or issue online using our secure system and a credit card - MasterCard, Visa, or American Express. You will receive an emailed receipt. You will have immediate access to JOSPT articles published after December 1993. Articles published prior to January 1994 will be emailed to you in PDF format. When you order a back issue of the Journal, please allow 1-2 weeks to receive it. These orders are processed within 24 hours of receipt.

• FAX: You may download, complete, and fax the JOSPT article/issue order form with your payment information to 703-836-2210. Processing will take 1-2 weeks.
