There's More Than One Way to Manipulate a Spine

Timothy W. Flynn

DOI: 10.2519/jospt.2006.0105

An increased emphasis should be placed on evidence-based decision making and the development of hands-on skills that can be performed proficiently, and yet are easily modifiable when individual physical therapist or patient characteristics dictate. When it comes to manual physical therapy interventions, in particular thrust manipulation techniques, it appears that there really is more than one way to manipulate a spine.
