Part III of this three part series of articles reviews diseases of the musculoskeletal system which may be manifested primarily as trunk and neck pain. The diseases covered include neoplastic disorders, bony and soft tissue infections, and metabolic bone disorders. The emphasis will be placed on information which will help the therapist differentiate between these diseases and musculoskeletal dysfunction resulting from trauma and abnormal postural strains being responsible for a patient's symptoms.
